Chris Hebert
Chris Hebert With a B.S. in Meteorology from Texas A&M University and more than 27 years of forecasting experience, Chris is ImpactWeather’s lead hurricane forecaster. His duties at ImpactWeather, Inc. include leading the hurricane team year-round. In his spare time, Chris manages product development. One of his main duties during the spring is traveling the country to speak about hurricanes at conventions, seminars and corporate meetings. Topics typically include hurricane structure, hurricane awareness/preparedness, hurricane forecasting and reviews of the previous hurricane season.

Fred Schmude
Fred SchmudeWith specialties in weather including hurricane forecasting, severe thunderstorms and winter weather monitoring and forecasting and long-range monthly and seasonal forecasting, Tropical Meteorologist and Forecast Team Supervisor Fred Schmude makes a terrific addition to ImpactWeather. Fred holds a BS in Geology from Texas Tech University and a BS in Meteorology from Texas A&M. Fred joined ImpactWeather’s parent company as a meteorologist in 1990.
Joseph Spain
Chris HebertJoseph Spain is one of ImpactWeather’s Tropical Meteorologists. Joseph holds a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences with a Minor in Mathematics from Edison State College, as well as a Master of Science degree in Business Management from Troy University. Prior to his current position with ImpactWeather, he served as a Meteorologist and Master Instructor for the United States Navy as well as an Aviation Meteorologist and Training Coordinator for a private global aviation service management firm.
Jim Palmer
Jim PalmerImpactWeather Tropical Meteorologist Jim Palmer has 23 years of forecasting experience, 12 of which have been spent at ImpactWeather. The majority of Jim’s experience prior to joining ImpactWeather was with the United States Air Force where he served as a Tropical Cyclone Analyst for 6 years, as a Tropical Meteorologist at Howard AFB in the Republic of Panama and as an Aviation Meteorologist at Randolph AFB in San Antonio, Texas. Jim’s experience at ImpactWeather – in addition to his work in TropicsWatch – includes Marine, Severe Weather and Temperature Forecasting.
